ski MRG
Winter has returned... down to 25F with moderate snow and high winds. Everything is fresh white again. Classic, strong (sustained 50mph at 4,000ft) NW flow upslope snows with flash freeze in the North Country tonight. Nice. Watching similar features here. Wind strength is definitely ratcheting up here.
ski MRG
I was just watching that on the BOX radar and wondering if it makes it down to Pete's Not sure it will work out here. seems to be drying out quickly.

Yeah there was little loss in the shaded areas. This is why Kev will owe Phil and I, beer.
Damage In Tolland
How much do you have left...30 I didn't measure today, but no I don't think i have that much Maybe 28-29ish.Today it took a hit and I fear for Thursday and Friday and being above freezing for 48 hours with high dews on Friday
cpickett79
that snow "funnelling" down the west slope of the greens looks awesome if not for upslope snow VT would be in the snow toilet this year ...must account for about 70% Of say underhill's total. it's spillling over to the berks. my money says savoy state park 2400' FTW tonite. they must have over 100" there at the park this year. snow depth is prolly 40" or so. mahk_webstah
So if you are down to 20" by Friday (maybe less???) do you think you can really add 16" by March 1? That would be great because it would mean 1 or more decent storms and noooo melting... If only... 16 inches in 2 weeks in late Feb in a gradient patter? 3-4 moderate snowfalls do that. Maybe March 5 to be sure.

Well over that. Was skiing at Mt. Greylock the other day and above 3k there was over 40" (could bury my ski pole to the handle, pole being 48) lower down it's less than 40 but not by much. Don't think much happens from tonight's event, drying out quickly.

That is if the snow remains, does not sublimate/melt, etc. Messenger's high sun angle comes into play... harder to keep the pack building as we go on, but you are right, not the most difficult thing in the world. I'm not saying im gonna get 24 in 2-3 weeks but it is highly possible and not unheard of in this pattern. Might start Mon-Tues with 4-8.

CoastalWx
Because today the dews were in the upper 20's. Friday they'll be in the mid-upper 40's Thursday night through Friday night will be bad. I could see that 24-36 hours where people will lose a ton. Friday hopefully will have some cloud cover, but like you said...dews will be higher. That's the torch of the week. I think the snow can survive through Friday night in your area, despite that. Sunny areas..maybe not, but those oaks that you curse out, will be your blessing.
