Probably skip that late night swim on Monona tonite...

Warming here...up to 8F now..clouds and SE winds

GFS shows -20F ...2x nites in a row next week...OMG

Sounds like you're entering the circulation of the clipper already, congrats. Can't wait to see that fresh snow tomorrow evening. GFS has trended stronger with that, 0.2" of liquid for MSN now, which isn't something to scoff at.

GFS has gone bat**** with the actual storm, over 0.8" :o

And then -18 °F, WTF

and then another clipper...

OK, this is winter now :snowman:

At 10pm it was RAINING in parts of N Dakota... most be some warm air out there somewhere...

Looks like a heck of a snowpack by next week, should everything go down the way it SHOULD go down.

Tomorrow will feel warm with temps around 30F

Warm air is from mountain subsidence, it's the reason this clipper even exists.

i hate to be a whiner, but it figures:

The start to this cool season has been snowy across the area, especially compared to recent years. With 16.7 inches at MSP Airport through the first week of December, it is the snowiest start for the Twin Cities since 1991. Some portions of the Twin Cities, particularly the west and south have had even more snow. Here at the NWS Office in Chanhassen, 22.9 inches have been observed so far.

t-minus-6 days and counting 'til i'm back in the tundra. maybe low-20s if i'm lucky for next wed?

how about stop hogging all the snow and share some wealth :P

how about lets do it all over again next week.... maybe the models won't be so far on a rocker and actually give a genuine idea and stick to it.... Good news is reports on the EURO for next week (I don't have access) is showing a little bit more southern idea, but it's a LONG LONG LONG way to go in that game..

Yeah, it showing a southern idea. You might get some rain out of the euro solution if you're lucky.

yeah not real optimistic on that one, So far the predictions of a snowy December at least here are turning into complete duds... hopefully that means Jan and Feb are actually snowy, cuz if not it'll be a boring ape crazy winter

I just read this snippet from IND's afternoon disco:

FINALLY TEMPERATURES SHOULD BEGIN TO MODERATE BY MIDDLE OF NEXT WEEK

AS UPPER TROUGH MOVES ON TO THE EAST. MODELS INDICATE PRECIPITATION

MAY MOVE BACK INTO PARTS OF THE OHIO VALLEY BY DAY 7...BUT PROBABLY

STAYING SOUTH OF OUR REGION.

Congrats MSP!!

The cities has had more snow than me on the North shore. I have had only 7.1" this season so far. 3.2" on the month. The big lake really kills snowfall chances early in the season especially with the rain lakeside.
