mahk_webstah
Since day 1 Really? I hadn't remembered that. How self-demeaning for an actual meteorologist. I noticed it when he insisted the Feb 8 storm would not be able to drop 6-10 inches, which I had said looked possible to me. Of course literally the next round of model runs took it north and west, amped it up and it gave 6-12 with thundersnow in nne and severe by you. He claims it was high ratios because it was so far n an w. lol...

amarshall
Just got this FB status from Sunday River GOGGLE TAN ALERT: The mercury is jumping and we're anticipating an inversion today. That's right - inversion! High of 31 at the summit and 30 at the base under mostly sunny skies!

SJonesWX
It's going to be a great torch...already bare spots showing up all over N MA and SNH. Hopefully someone in CT hits 65 or 70. Mr Torchey
When the OVEN bdr has 10 on the ground that says something. No bare spots here, but the pack did take a beating, its pure ice now after the meltage on Monday. Now, come Friday southern exposure will have some spots, at the very least. Mr. Windcredible!
I fully expect to have bare spots by Friday evening. Already bare spots under pine trees and a few south facing hills. I haven't measured...but probably only 4-6" of snow pack left in most spots. Still, today marks week 5 of continuous snow cover which is pretty damn impressive for the shoreline. Yeah...the New Year's thaw really hurt us here. We only had 6" on 12/26...so the New Year's thaw left the ground bare except for the piles and some of the larger drifts. jconsor
Not so mild - BDR and HVN are running about 2 degrees behind NAM MOS, which had a high of 38 for each of them. It is a few degrees warmer just inland away from the influence of LI Sound, but I doubt anyone in SW CT gets higher than the low 40s today. sneaky warm wed scooter ftw, light west winds and full sunshine, cp will be mild while the hills stay cool
free_man
Where are you seeing bare spots? not even the sunniest spots along I-93 have any bare spots. There are plenty of bare spots along Route 3 all the way from Mass into NH. Look in the southbound side after Bedford tolls, completely bare. Also, I93 is NW- SE facing (as you know) and the sun angle probably doesn't quite hit the same as other highways or main roads between the main heating hours (10-2) I-293 in the merrimack valley in Manchester as you hit Bedford, lots of bare ground along the sides. Yes, it's mostly the main roads and also highways showing bare, but it does exist. Anyone denying that either (1) doesn't live here/has not been up this way, or (2) is trolling. As for the other comments, typical weenies just filling up their post counts. Thankfully most of us are out working, living and enjoying the wx and not oogling over D7-10 models showing a SWFE lol

Forecast tonight is above freezing, not to get back below until Sat evening. Bring back the snow ASAP
