Baroclinic Zone
Got down to 33F early this AM. Already pegged 10F on that, 43F. Yesterday hit 55F off a low of 35F. Dews yesterday were in the low 30's, today they are already in the low 40's. Shooting for 60F today. Probably won't be much left of the "snow". I bet the NWS area has a good amount left , correct? 25-30" OTG in N Attleboro/Plainville when I was there 11-12 days ago.

There's significantly less as you head SE towards Bob's area.
OSUmetstud
Impressive advection/mechanical mixing ahead of the cold front. Syracuse was 52 degrees at 2 am last night.
moneypitmike
PDFamily site isn't completely accurate. Seems like the GC reports are off (probably others, too). The map shows me at 46, but my actual is 39.0/33. The "hover" readings are correct.

Whats the avg in your backyard? There was 25" avg in the backyard, very heavy stuff too. Maybe a little less in the front yard, 23-25" I'd be shocked if it were mostly gone after this mini-torch because it was so dense. It looks like Bobs area drops off rapidly on the maps..that sucks, but goes along with climo.

It looks like Bobs area drops off rapidly on the maps..that sucks, but goes along with climo. I think we hit about 28" here in the beginning of the month...it's been a slow death over the past couple weeks since we get warm pretty easily (low elevation, pretty far south, and away from the ocean). I'm at 175 ft or so...areas just a mile or two away above 300 ft probably crested over 30". Just by looking at the neighbors yard...I think we still have slightly over 12" on the ground. OSUmetstud
looks like we have 2-3 hours of strong heating this morning with the lack of clouds in CT/W MA...then the clouds over ENY move in around 11am here...maybe 12pm at the latest... Albany is overcast at 6500 ft and that appears to be translating east.
HoarfrostHubb
Noticed lots of brown areas off the sides of Rte 2 on the south facing hills... Just watched a big slab of snow come off one of our roofs here at work. Drip drip drip Skiing later today in a t-shirt maybe?

Cold Miser
I was going to say a foot or so on the ground based on the background in that photo... near the edge of the house doesn't count haha. Yes. That is the roof of my patio where the ice is resting with the skylight to the left. I had to keep that flat roof shoveled off all winter. klw
The snow on the top of our barn on the side facing the house finally all slid last night. As I headed out to the cars this morning, I had the joy of finding 2 to 3 feet of heavy wet snow all over the path and had to grab the shovel. Also had the joy of finding all of our dog's brown presents which are showing themselves in the yard as the snow retreats..
Cold Miser
1 day.....1 day left in the period. Maybe so, but what's with all of the torching talk for the end of next week? I was lurking while all kinds of torch talk was going on last night. Looked like Ray was having it out with someone pretty hard.

klw
Temps in the mid 30's here in the NEK. With the clouds in pretty solidly in, I wonder if we can avoid the big temp jump we had yesterday. Rutland is at 52 already on the other side of the mountains. It will be an interesting day to watch.
