Wild Weather Monger
Well this lead band that is moving thru what I like to call the hwy 78 corridor has set the stage for those returns to our wsw to be very productive. I think.
eyespygawx
Wow, in between I-20 and I-85 in eastern GA it really went dry.
Lookout
Same here. I'm not far from comer over here northeast of athens. Noticed athens went from light rain at 11pm back to light snow at 11:30. Radar is changing so rapidly it's ridilous. I look one minute, there is a solid shield of precip, the next minute there is this huge hole, now I look back and that hole is rapidly filling back in with 35dbz near atlanta. Hopefully it holds on this time. btw, use the composite imagery. I have stuff still reaching the ground when on reflectivity it shows nothing. Rankin5150
Well Foothills...looking at the radar again, it looks like we have some decent forcing moving in. We should see some snow flying soon beginning in your area and working towards me. Looks like NW NC is weaking and SW NC, to upstate to our area is about to get in on some good precip. Thoughts? Itunis
Heavy dusting here, maybe 1/4" so far. Looking good for an inch or so, temps still an issue right now though. Looks like I'll avoid getting completely dry slotted with returns developing a bit west of me.
Lookout
Well I'm now over to a steady 100% light snow with NO returns on reflectivity

I have absolutely no returns over me at the moment, but it is filling in to the west again like you said. Hope hope hope it holds.
Batman
Snow really coming down now. Huge flakes. Starting to stick to deck and deck chairs and tables. Temp at 35. Need to lose a few more degrees with the heavy snow moving in.
weatherfide
Big flakes, 34.0, still seams like light snow rate, however.
NEGa
Well I'm now over to a steady 100% light snow with NO returns on reflectivity seems like the radars are starting to misbehave like the models do lol steady snow with a dusting so far
Tullioz
In DT style, Alert, Alert, Alert, this is not a drill, deformation type band setting up from Danville to Farmville VA, extending to the SW, not sure of implications, but chasing SN-storms in the past, this band looks stout! This is gonna be the break for some lucky posters. Thing is expanding, just moving to fast, almost like a front. But if it stops and pivots any, watch out. This is what was being modeled earlier this evening and should give a heavy thump to some central NC and VA folks. That band was just enough to allow a few flakes to reach the ground as it passed overhead here. Didn't even produce enough for a dusting. I'm now hoping the moisture to my Southwest will make it up here. Back to virga now as there are still radar returns overhead after the passing of that heavier band. polarexpress00
I'm thinking 1 to 1.5 just due to the fact that it probably won't snow more than 2-3 more hours. Really slacked off here last 5 min. the last two winters have been a treat I have 7 events the last two years to remember. Seems from roughly 94-09 (lived 94-05 central bama sylacauga) had maybe 5 events in 15 years. 7 in 2 years dream come true and a WHITE CHRISTMAS truly amazing
NCSNOW
Well might as well throw one more hurdle out their tonight. Convection firing up rapidly coming out of GOM into Florida panhandle.

FoothillsNC
Yeah man...I feel your pain also. I will say that flurries have started back up and I can actually see some from my windown inside and not from outside under the light. Sad when it comes to this. Back in the early 2000's, I would never had gone to this extreme. can't even get flurries here. Its pretty amazing to see how many times Gaston county gets into precip before this area does. Looking at the radar I see downsloping elements from AVL now , and thats colliding with the echoes trying to get here from N. GA. Usually, downslope wins out here, but just to my east it may actually enhance your snow somewhat and points east. About to call it a night here. Well Foothills...looking at the radar again, it looks like we have some decent forcing moving in. We should see some snow flying soon beginning in your area and working towards me. DeltaPilot
Very light snow now temp is at 35. Not sticking yet. Need to see some heavier rates out of this. Just measured 1" on my deck rail. 1" in 1 1/2 hours. Not bad for being on the fringe of the good returns. Temp is 31.0. NEGA....you know what that means.....you will get at least 2". HWY316wx
33.5 and the radar looks great but the snow is very light. I hear the ground just 30 miles to my north is covered and it's snowing like crazy. It's just not happening here.
