Damage In Tolland
Canadian ensembles try to bring a front through on Friday night. I think we're seeing some subtle hints that the warmup might not be as bad as advertised..and there's probably only one day that has a chance of really being warm ahead of the front..whichever day that is. Euro looks cold and snowy long range and good to hear the ensembles do as well
DavisStraight
this is horrifically off-topic...not even close to weather related...buh it is UCONN related so that brings us to CT and CTBlizz and some of the UCONN students so why not? plus...there's snow on the ground in the video.maybe you've seen this but regardless...this is crazy: Shouldnt that kid be playing for the Patriots and Celtics? Wonder how long it took to make that.
Damage In Tolland
BOX also not high on warmth HOWEVER THE JET REMAINS JUST NORTH OF NEW ENGLAND AND FAIRLY ACTIVE SO THERE IS A RISK FOR THE MILDER WEATHER TO POSSIBLY BE INTERRUPTED AS ONE OR MORE BACKDOOR COLD FRONTS MAY COME CLOSE TO SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND DURING THIS TIME PERIOD

Give guidance another 48 hrs or so to try and reason out the solution. I'd bank on at least two warm days for now. One of those days could be a messenger mankini day, but perhaps a little too cold down that way with a sw wind.
CoastalWx
I thought the euro would depict something similar to the GFS, but it dug the trough really far into the southwest. Perhaps the bias showing up? Or, is it doing the right thing? Back door option is open..but that could easily stay up in NNE. However, the fact the Canadian even showed the potential, is interesting. That model likes to furnace everything.
Organizing Low
Saturday is an inferno on the euro. yeah i dont care what the 850s show thats a brutal brutal setup. my pack would be all gone, i guarantee it. i just hope the euro reverts back to its previous runs, it was the first to show the backdoor sneak cold and the other models followed, of course once they follow the euro goes back to torch mode

Organizing Low
It's interesting how this whole thing is delayed a bit now. Euro ensembles not buying any potential backdoor either, but they do have the polar boundary across the border of Canada and NNE. Euro op was a few hundred miles nw of that, by hr 192. This possibly may be a product of too much digging as John alluded to, and therefore the front is slower to come back south. I'd still watch for something sneaky on Friday. Still a week out, but I don't see a reason to shy away from the warmth right now. good to hear, the 12z euro had me reaching for my Sarah Mclachlan CD

Mr Torchey
What's up with Monday being so warm now? WAA from a clipper or something? that's been there for days really. always had a mild look it was just pinpointing whether it would be sun or mon. Anytime you have a low going north, it's going to warm up. Pretty good sw flow, but any cloud cover would mute it, likely near and north of I-90. lol

40/70 Benchmark
LOL you are a tool. I said "essenitally" over until March, which to me implies nothing of mod magnitude or greater.....save that crap for verification. God forebid someone feel as though we are not entering into a snowy interlude...they're a tool, but if I said overrunning heaven, it would have been a great post! Anyway, I'm over it. No, hopefully I'm wrong....could I be, absolutely. We could get a 1-3, 2-4"er that would make Kev's day, but nothing that I'd be stoked for. I have no problem with you feeling that winter is going to take a break until March and being vocal about it. But you really shouldn't criticize others for following the pattern and calling them diluted...that's not called for.
