Very cool sat pics. Thnx for sharing. Just wild to see the snowpack (it almost got to me, but not quite) and then watch it disappear throughout the day.

Norfolk cashed in last night. Take a look at the clouds clear out. It's also interesting to see the difference in snowpack type as the high ratio snow from last night in central VA evaporates and melts away and the much denser snows from 15 days ago don't budge 30 miles to the north. Loop will take a minute to load:

Cold weather lovers - Enjoy tonight - It will be the last cold night until January 2012. Temps are in the low 30s with dewpoints near 4 degrees

Spring is coming very early to the eastern conus this year.

It was nice to get that last three quarters of an inch of snow last night.

The storm was an overperformer.

913pm 21 degrees with a 4 degree dewpoint.

A low of 12 is likely - some of us will slide down into the single digits.

Enjoy it to the max - Because after tonight - we are building into the 50s with lows in the 30s, probably ultimately well into the 60s - which is t-shirt weather to us in DCA in mid February
