JamieOber
Wind update....if anything the wind has died down here in the last hour or so. We are getting occasional strong gusts here. I saw something weird - I was outside, it got quiet and calm, then I could hear the gust coming and good 40-45 mph gust came through, and right over my head flew a beach ball. It was about 30 feet in the air, clearing my yard and the road, lol. There are houses on a hill to my west, likely came from there.

pawatch
This isn't the best photo, was taken with phone. The picture is Pine Creek at route 44 and route 220. At the Pine Creek exit. Before noon there was hardly any ice there. Now it is jammed up with the ice barely moving with the water backed up bank full. Steady winds all afternoon. canderson
My friend that lives three blocks away lost his house today in a fire. Tree branch fell on a power line that then got blown onto his house, pulling the transformer into the second-story bedroom. It's not a total loss, but pretty much destroyed. They lost everything due to water/smoke damage. :/

canderson
Wind was bad, man. Driving around, we saw at least 20 stop signs pulled up from the ground and several trees no longer standing.

pawatch
Holy crap. Did the wind somehow force the ice there? Naw just the melting snow. Which brought the creeks up and broke up the ice, which got jammed up at the bridges. Last Monday there was a foot of snow here. Not much left. http://mysite.verizon.net/vze88orm/ I haven't seen Jamie post. I wonder if he is one of the unfortunate ones without power in the State College area. So what is going on with these storms?? The other day one was going to be North of us. With part 2 south of us. Edit: Was just looking....Nam does look good even the CMC. But GFS doesn't look that good for us further north. But looks good for you guys further south. Should have looked at temps.

I will wait for a more professional analysis but it does look good.
