tmagan
Interesting looking at KOKX radar at 18:55Z, a shower with 50 dbz developed between Sayville and Water Island developed, which probably meant, even with the surface dry air that some of the precip. reached the water along with some gusty winds

A-L-E-X
19.4 degrees here in Astoria, Queens with full sunshine. I wonder what the low at LGA was. Our split was 32.1/19.4 Maybe it will get into the teens again tonight.

pazzo83
Central Park will go down as 33/20 on the day. That is an average of 26.5, which is -12 on the day (average for March 3 is 38.5). Hopefully this is the coldest day until Dec 2011.

I was looking at the 6 hr high/low from the NWS, but the wunderground stats for the day are showing each station at 19. Closer inspection shows that they got down to 19.9, so I guess it is 20. LGA was legit 19.0. Weird.

They usually adjust their numbers the next day lol.
nzucker
Cold out again tonight....24.5/4 after a high of 31.5F, which may be the last subfreezing high of the cold season. I doubt we'll get as cold as last night which bottomed out at 16.5F, but still pretty impressive for March. Snow patches are hanging on with the cold weather. nzucker
Had some snow showers this AM after about 2" of rain in Dobbs Ferry. Beautiful late winter day out with a few puffy clouds and crisp west winds. Nice refreshing feel to this airmass after last night's tropical downpours. 38.6/27 FEW
tmagan
Checking KOKX radar at 5:40 P.M. there were some robust 45 dbz returns near West Hampton Dunes at 400 to 500 ft. Obviously wasn't precipitation.

tmagan
Sea breeze front? I thought of that but it was oriented north-south and usually don't show up as well as these returns today. I thought maybe a brushfire, but again they don't produce the returns I saw on the radar.
