A plane can cause the Bergeron Process to take place when it flies through. 2" of snow seems kind of fishy, though. I highly doubt that. However, planes flying through clouds can create holes where the cloud snows itself out (although this snow is usually virga).

oh man I couldn't find it for a while, but finally found it in my history. I just stumbled upon this yesterday while I was looking for a good graphic that would explain -nao effects to my brother. And here it is

As cool as that stuff is, it needs to go into the banter thread, not the *model* discussion thread. I'll leave it this time since we are at the end of the thread and need a new one but we need to keep it on topic please.

If that is true, that is pretty impressive considering temps are in the mid 40s there. Amazing temp change after the snow starts in al. Temps are going from the low 40s to 32/33 in a matter of minutes.
