Kmlwx
Loud thunder here - looks like (based on GR2AE) the MoCo cell wants to pulse up - nice updraft going up it seems.

SmokeEater
You guys near DC are likely gonna get 3 rounds tonight. The line well to your west keeps building south. Just about to the latitude of DC now.

Just about to the latitude of DC now. Corn fumes might get it but it seems that the Downtown DC area and surrounding areas finally have broken the dry spell. Maybe we can hold onto the wet pattern now. Ian wanted flooding.
2010 extreme
This has been one crazy storm have received at least two inches of rain in the last hour. alot of it was in a thirty minute period. Also saw my neighbors trash can which still has stuff in it get carriedd away in the gutter till it passed the sewer fifty yards down. I haven't seen rates this hard in two years. Nikolai
There is non-stop rolling thunder and extremely vivid lightning in McLean, haven't seen a show like this in a looong time. Not wimpy lightning, either--the kind you can feel.
