LOL that thing is buried.

We've taken to calling the site 'Ice Station Zebra'. We've whittled the crew down to just myself and two helpers. Everyone else has been sent to indoor projects in Gt.Barrington. There are two kinds of people, those that can work outside in extreme conditions without much trouble and those that freeze to death. Fortunately, my helpers are also skiers and love the cold.

I miss working outdoors in the cold. I used to love it. Pull up with a nice coffee in hand, dig out some equipment, and enjoy working in the winter wonderland.

It's really great on days like today when there is snow flying stat to finish. Keep the snow pushed back has become a full time job.

Cold front didn't arrive until later. Even ORH warmed to 34.

That temp map that Mike posted showed the position of the cold front rather well. We've only snuck above 32 a couple of times since the Holidays. Had friends that were ice fishing this weekend and they said the ice was 24-30" thick. Spring will be late this year.

Mike are you catching some snow? Just howling out there. Best winds in a while. Brutal night.

Pete, our town business association is doing their annual outhouse fundraiset. They put one on the ice of a local pond and whoever guesses the correct date and time that it goes through wins prizes (including firewood LOL)

In 2009 it broke through March 20

Last year was March 13

I'm thinking March 25-27th this season

Just got back from Easthampton. Man is it a different world up there. Tomorrow I'll be in Pittsfield and then Lenox

We were right at the base of Mt Tom ona sales call.

Does anyone know the elevation of the old Mt Tom?

I think the highest point is around 1200'...if you mean the actual old ski part of the mtn., I'm not sure
