OSUmetstud
pretty clear bright banding signal on the radar overnight....I'm pretty sure the Providence area didn't have 0.70" of melted precip.
40/70 Benchmark
Already over the forecast high and rising....unsure as to the ineptitude with regard to forecast highs.....it's been disturbingly common place. EDIT: Now it's been changed to 35*....can't slip one by them.
Ginx snewx
this deform band is also rain here, temp spiking to 36 now, certainly is not a squall, no winds and rising temps./ Prefrontal Joe, too much flow off the water
met_fan
Eyeballing it looks like just about 4 inches..still snowing..heading out to shovel. Have to be in Easthampton for 2:00 39 here in Easthampton...picked up 1", maybe 1-1/2"
moneypitmike
Don't look now but me thinks an Arctic squall line is about to rip the rest of your snow off http://radar.weather...l_lite_loop.php Awesome thing to see as I just got off a call. Temp had gone to 33.0. Down to 32.8, wind has started to blow. Recorded a west 11mph 'gust five minutes ago from what had essentially been calm for the last many hours. jconsor
Wouldn't be so sure of that. Next event to watch is potential WAA snow with a clipper skirting the border of Quebec and VT/NH next Sun. Doesn't look like much and has limited moisture, but there is a tight thermal gradient. This type of event has the potential to produce 1-3", esp. N of the Mass Pike. Next snow storms isn't for weeks, so enjoy the flakes.
