Clinch Leatherwood
Most snow fell between 2-6 am. HA, cool.....I'd have bet against that when I was last online. I'm only 33 on the nose but it's clearly compacting melting, my wife says it's melted quite a bit since the early am. I have JUST under 1", about .9...but I'd have to figure it was an inch 3 hours ago before the meltdown. Hoping for another quick inch. The way of the winter here, we haven't gotten a big storm since Pre-christmas but we get snow almost every storm a couple of inches at a time. Clinch Leatherwood
I've had 2-10"+ storm since Boxing Day so I am not to be included in that we. Ha you know I meant here. The tradeoff for us is this...my kids didn't get to sled maybe 2 days this winter where we didn't get at least a few inches when everyone else got buried. But in return they'll spend probably 50 afternoons at the beach this summer with their family and friends and a bunch of evenings there too buy the bonfire while they swim. My oldest can bike the 7 mile canal path already at age 6. As much as I love the snow the guys up to the NW can have their snowbanks until May as we'll already be at the beach on what will hopefully be the first few warm Spring days. I do miss the snow totals, but I'd never leave this area. Rain here now, I'm going to pack up and head NW.
Cold Miser
Old Man Winter, the reports of your demise have been greatly exaggerated, White, snow on snow, very elevation dependent,I have 1.5 just up the hill about a 1/4 mile at elevation 610 has 2.5-3, nice. Currently huge aggregates parachuting down, nice refresher AWT We had about 2" at 8:00, and it's been snowing good since. I wonder if me being slightly west of you has helped add to my totals. Ginx snewx
Is this blob of precip heading into SE MA snow? Surface temps are 33-34F right now. I'm guessing 700-850's are ok but what about below that? I cleared the deck to show how huge these aggregates are, just filling the sky still, 2 inches new, 1/2 last 45 minutes. moneypitmike
lol Lol. I think it might be inevitable with the pre-frontal spike (I never knew about that until Scott explained it earlier this season). I'm up to 31.4/30. Wind has yet to stir, but the cooler temps are showing up just to the west at this point.

Bend over and put the ruler in straight, LOL, no its all elevation and intensity , you have a constant elevation I have a sudden rise, also your rates were better for a while, taint by valley up to a point here but not anymore. Man that intersection with Rt 6 at Margaret Henry Road like we discussed is just a sick snow Mecca, took a weenie ride, roads were very thick with snow and plows were banging up big piles. TheSnowman
I need some help here - This storm was supposed to get Colder as the storm progressed. Even the TV Mets said that.......and they are the Warmest of all. I went to bed at 1am - Snow Woke up at 7:30 - Awesome Snow Woke up at 8:30 - RAIN. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!!!???????? This is THE Most Annoying February of ALL-Time! Big Storm turns into 8". Nor'Easter type storm turns into 3 5 minute periods of Sleet and then turning into a Rainstorm so heavy it had a freak Thunderstorm. Thursday out to sea. Next Week looks to break my Consecutive Snowpack stream of days hence it WON'T be included in the Greatest Snowpacks of all-time (there are 8). This storm goes from Snow to Rain instead of "if it starts as Snow, you're good to go". RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
