CoastalWx
hrrr seems to have a good handle on the NYC stuff right now. it swings it across SNE as a pretty robust feature. that could be some nasty weather. Was just looking at that. Also note cooling tops on IR.

Also note cooling tops on IR. yeah i wonder if we get some reports of thunder with that. was just checking the ruc on bufkit...TTs jump to 50+ and there's a pocket of very steep mid-level lapse rates. hvy hvy?? The problem is mid Feb with full sun can do a number on snow even in cold wx.

He didn't post anything this morning Nope--completely AWT. 3" or so attm. 28.8/27 Looks like we'll be picking up a little more before this event is done. I'm pretty intrigued by the wind potential later.

Just spoke with someone across the line in NYS and that are that's regenerating the snow here has been laying it down over there, plus we should wring some out with the CFP. Just an awesome plastering out there right now Blow it off now or melt it later. I'd rather the former. Speaking of blowing: at the threshold of whether to clear or not clear. I'll probalbyh wind up with 4" or so. Close enough that I think I'll pass. the wind would probalby just cover it again ainyway. Or, it may blow it clear for me.
