das
00z Euro showing some troughiness. I thought I'd be able to peek in here and get the skinny on you guys out west. Completely self serving, but I'm looking for some cold/snowy at Tahoe 18-25 Feb...
baroclinic_instability
There are a whole bunch of Sierras/California storm threads just strewn about the regional forum--but there is no official Cal thread. Good idea though--we should start a more official Cal/WA/OR thread to cover the Pacific NW and coast states.

das
No real point this winter. I feel for you. If someone had tried to convince me in October that you would have the winter you've had, I would have said they were crazy. It's been tough here in the mid-Atlantic with a bunch of near-misses but, at least, that is mod Nina climatology for us so it's not entirely unexpected.
