RevWarReenactor
There's the correct interpretation. To paraphrase, the ingredients were there, they just didn't mix right. JB over-hyped the hell out of this storm, but it wasn't devoid of evidence and reasoning. You just have to know how to ignore the headline and read the content. If JB is wrong it was just an "idea" if he is right it was a "forecast"

usedtobe
Wow plus 12 would probably get us into the 70s if Euro is right. When it's 52 at 5000 ft you don't need to go down adiabatically to get it really warm.

tacoman25
It's called "strong La Nina climo" and I tried to warn you all with my "cold/dry, warm/wet, cold/dry" stuff. I don't know if that's really accurate, considering regions all around the DC area have done better than strong Nina climo this winter. Look at Philly and Richmond. Dcwx
You have to admit, 70 degree weather over the weekend looks appealing. Better than cold and dry.
Jebman
So much for a forecasted high of 42. It's 52 degrees in Dale City. We are already going ten degrees above forecasts. Get used to it - It is going to be like this right through September. Warmer than normal spring followed by a hellish hot summer - It's our lot - We are the most cursed people in the conus - When its cold we don't get snow, when we get plenty of qpf its torrential rainfall. Spring has arrived. It will stay mild for weeks. This is going to be one of those springs when leaf out will begin three weeks early while the Midwest and west gets buried alive under meters of powder snow amid subzero temps. We desperately need to change the date of meteorological spring to February 10. Only in the accursed Mid Atlantic I hate this place - I'm tired of this town
