usedtobe
Ji has gotten his wish. I've discussed the suppression that I originally thought was wrong but now think is more likely than the old Euro major snowstorm. A glancing blow still is possible and is supported by some ensemble members. http://voices.washin...talweathergang/

Jebman
WE might as well face up to it - The blocking is bye-bye - we'll have nominal winter weather - take your climo temps, tack on about 5-10 degrees and add rain for flavor. Time to start shifting toward spring and spring thunderstorm activity. Groundhog DID see his shadow - But spring will come very early to Washington this year I'm deep in social media so I do have another hobby. If you need a snow fix, better drive to Manassas then Rt 28 North hit RT 7 and RT 9. If you go today you'll start seein increased areal coverage of the snow north of Dulles - then the ground is white on RT 7 and particularly on RT 9 - But you better do it soon - You got a couple days cold weather but next weekend we're gonna hit the upper 60s in DCA and folks will be walking around in shorts and t-shirts with NO fear of winter cold fronts - We are 100% finished with winter here. The SE Ridge will be FIERY - New England will get buried ALIVE in record blizzards as we get waterboarded this spring amid mild air - and Chicago will set new thousand year snow records. La Nina is GAME ON - Begin EPIC celebrations Midwest and New England - Weathafella will laugh his ass off at our early spring weather. Central Park and the Bronx will be digging out of epic snows well into late August Woodbridge snow areal coverage is kaput - high 40s temps last two days plus above freezing lows put the kibosh on our snowpack - and plowed piles are going fast as spring speeds towards N VA and Washington at more than 98000 miles per hour. Get ready to start MOWING LAWNS by mid to late March in DCA - I know its hard to believe but tons of rain plus mild will generate optimal lawn growth rates even late THIS MONTH geeze I am starting to come down with severe allergies - I am serving a life sentence with Benadryl - I am getting older and autumn allergies are pure HELL. I am certain spring will be the same. Sucks to be me - in winter I won't get snow - in spring and autumn I suffer from devastating, life-controlling allergies - I HATE northern Virginia so much
