usedtobe
another favorable trend for us right before the event starts Well it could trend back north and give you .01 or .02 at 06Z. It's getting late for it to jump to much more than that.

Now there is nothing to track probably till next winter.

WxUSAF
GGEM looks better at least. Further west and scrapes us. So is the euro better or worse than before QPF wise? Don't know what that link is, but it's not the GGEM and it made my anti-virus software light up like a Christmas tree.

usedtobe
The 06Z nam stepped up to the plate and gave DC .03 even with a super flat surface wave and a westerly 850 wind. Ji got 0.01 from the run.

usedtobe
latest nam: 0.04" at DCA overnight... That's an upgrade suggesting at least of dusting if the gfs keeps 0.01. The 850h winds are westerly which always is cause for concern with light precip.
MD Snow
pretty sad we have no fantasy stroms or bitter cold on th gfs that should tell us something And what has that done for us? Ji
i think winter is over for the rest of the month. There are no signs of -AO or -NAO coming back and if it does come back, its probably too late. We have probably seen our last snowstorm

It's time to put a bullet into the head of Winter 2011. I guess someone could do a road trip to Oklahoma, Arkansas or even the Outer Banks for snow LOL. WinterWxLuvr
Don't worry the blocking will be back to bring us a beautiful cold wet spring! Yes, and I'd almost bet that if we see a below average pattern for temps that, just to pour salt in the wounds, we'll be above average precip wise as a way to say "see, look what you could have had".
