So i got stocked up a wrecker couldnt even make a practice drive up my hill so my cute little aveo is at the bottom of the hill and will get snowed on. Her is going to be so cold! Ironically, you'd have had much better luck getting out yesterday or Friday before the roads turned to slush on ice. We either need a stupidly warm couple of days with lots of sun or more snow, stat! brettjrob
07/00z NAM -- slight trend S towards the model consensus, but only by maybe 20-30 mi. Maximum QPF axis is roughly WWR-TUL-FYV. It's also showing the heaviest snows over the eastern extent of the area, with a bullseye of 1"+ over NE OK and NW AR. I do think it's interesting to note how the QPF axis has taken on a more WNW-ESE orientation this run, as opposed to due W-E. It seems the farther E you are, the better the chance this will end up going S of current progs.
Wx 24/7
One more 2-4" snow and I am good for the season. If it doesn't come now, it might not happen. That makes me sound a bit greedy, I guess. I am anxious for the 00z GFS and Euro.
JoMo
The NAM still thinks it's right:
wierdo
Yep..the NAM is sticking to its story. QPF is actually up a bit along an XNA-LIT axis this run, in addition to being a hair south of the 18z run. Edited to add: Or you can just look at JoMo's graphic. MoWeatherguy
NAM not normally reliable at this range (or any range for that matter) but I wouldnt be surprised to see the GFS trend more N with it's heavier precip tonite, ala the Euro. Again, JMO.

minninni31
still crazy ,in my back yard I still has 4 0 5 inches of snow That's depth so it's adding what it expects to be on the ground already. This is the 00z NAM Kuchera:
baroclinic_instability
Can we add Nebraska to your regional threads Jomo? So few members but they are close to your region, IMO. That area is kinda left out in the central/western regional forum.
JoMo
And the GFS is even farther south this run I believe.

MoWeatherguy
And the GFS is even farther south this run I believe. Yeah, so much for my hunch lol. Worlds of diff still between the NAM and GFS with precip at least.

Spot
Maybe its a good thing TSA didnt pull the trigger on the WSW. Interested at what the GGEM and Euro are going to show.
brettjrob
GGEM way, way south and very anemic on QPF. Just a moderate event from Woodward to OKC to Texarkana, taken verbatim. Unbelievable spread in the modeling tonight after such an amazingly consistent look in the medium range.
NwWhiteOut
Nam Kuchera spits out 8-9" here. If i get that much ill be back to 20" almost on the ground again omg! Most areas are all compacted wet snow now with about 10" left give or take a few
Ozarkwx
Let's suppose for a moment everyone's snow fantasy's came true. What would it really look like? NwWhiteOut
lmao ozarkwx i dont think a rake is gonna get through that! wow that there is just way way way to much snow. Theres no way I would ever want that much

NwWhiteOut
It would just melt off in a few days anyway. Yea thats true especially around here. If its not in december or january forget it. Now i have seen drifts that high though. Took more then a rake though to dig out lol!
