JoMo
Hey you guys in SW Missouri, how long did it take you all to saturate the atmosphere? I know the radar has snow over me already, but I know most of this is going to be virga for the next 12 hours or so. I'm still waiting. St. Louis had an aviation update and said they didn't expect anything other than flurries at St. Louis as even drier air was present.
JoMo
minninni31, moderate snow there? That is quite a band off to your south.

I'm just really worried about the dry air but oh well. Hope you guys get nailed through the night because that would be good for me but it sounds like dry air is a common theme for most people. Good luck!
wierdo
04z HRRR snow accumulations. It develops a band along OK/KS border and then develops the heavier snow south of Tulsa. Definitely interesting to see how the different versions of the RR are handling the storm differently. I'm not expecting a lot of action here until at least 3AM local, just based on the modeling. Even if our overall accumulation doesn't end up very high, we should get some pretty good snowfall rates for at least a couple of hours.

minninni31
1:14 a.m. update: An area of moderate to heavy snow is located north of a line from Fayetteville, AR to Tulsa, to Stillwater. The snow is moving east. North winds at 15-25 mph are causing blowing and drifting snow. Heavy snow was reported earlier in Kansas. Wichita set a record snowfall for the day Tuesday with nearly 7" of snow. Hutchison and Newton, Kansas both saw over a foot of snow. The snow will continue to build south as we go through the night. Yeah, does not look to good for heavy accumulatoin, I am still tracking a potential to get 1 to 3" of accumulation of snow. The best shot from what I have is 16Z-19Z today. minninni31
2:13 a.m. update: The heaviest snow band continues along and north of US-412. We are starting to see snow move in from central and western Oklahoma. We will see snow area-wide for the morning rush hour. North winds 15-30 are really blowing the snow around, and it will be tough to get accurate measurements. A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for all 77 counties in Oklahoma.
