Hoosier
Very nice. Like I said last night to you...$$$. Maybe we can get the Mon system to spin something up... Considering its recent performance, I'm almost tempted to exclusively ride the RGEM at this point.
Maumee Bay Turf Center
I tried the past 2 days, any input from folks on a certain type of salt vs another type? As this continues, and there is, in my mind, a chance for something Sun/Mon it could be very interesting in terms of snowpack. we distribute both plain rock salt and ice melter...use plain rock salt...ice melters you purchase at stores are a "watered down" version to state it simply...they are easier on new concrete but don't have the melt factor that plain old rock salt has...we only use ice melter on newly constructed commercial accounts worried about spalling of new concrete.... Chicago WX
Considering its recent performance, I'm almost tempted to exclusively ride the RGEM at this point. Done. It's been nails lately. It must love this pattern. Well done Canada.

scottdeshong
Unofficial measurement taken on top of the glacier on my back deck shows 3.5" so far in Pendleton, IN. Checked a few other places and it's all pretty much the same. As far as I can tell we should continue to get snow for the next 3-4 hours. So much for 2-4". Thank you very much. As crazy as this sounds, I think i'll put the blower on top of-ride the glacier, blow off the snow, then lay the rock salt down, and hope for tomorrow's sun to help. Would you agree on taking the snow off, eventhough traction may be an issue?

IWXwx
3.5" so far. 1/4 mile hvy snow in my backyard at this moment. Just a fantastic suprise! Wow! You've got that much in Warsaw? I thought that you might be a little too far NW for the good stuff. Congrats!
snowstormcanuck
Virga rapidly approaching. Should get the first flakes within the next couple of hours. Based on how radar looks, I think the more juiced 6z models are closer to reality.

Let alone what the Feb bill will be... its been a long time coming up here....lack of snow is what drove us into the synthetic turf business 6 years ago...you think you got it bad...we have a large company up here that owes us $288,000 right now(just for snow)....which is like $5 to us normal people.... they are making some serious loot...weird account.. we have a job trailer there - we have people there before first flake hits...have to shovel in between about 1000 cars, walk people to cars...etc - great account - safety freaks !
