CoastalWx
And just to give you an idea of how bad that s/w in TX was modeled.......horrible bust at DFW today. 3-5" of snow, when models had almost nothing for them. That is an epic bust for those people not used to snow.

ORH_wxman
Euro really torches us on the front end of this system....but its pretty potent vortmax so it might give us a nice height fall induced snow in the latter half of the storm.

ORH_wxman
When you say torch..how warm? Like +6C 850s to YBY. Sfc doesn't get that warm though except maybe on the Cape...probably mid 30s and cold rain for you...with potential ice further north and northwest. dryslot
The Euro is juiced up here .75" coastal plain, 1.0" Extreme downeast, .50" back thru the foothills
ORH_wxman
how much qpf Will, time to clear the storm drains? Its not a big qpf event down there...maybe 0.40-0.50 at most. So I don't think flooding would be an issue...snow pack should be able to drink that up pretty easily.Much more qpf up in northeast NE in Maine

ORH_wxman
Does anyone see snow on the front end on the 12z Euro? Berkshires? Catskills? Almost no front end snow until you are well up into NNE. It mostly comes as the low is bombing and a CCB forms. There are some icing concerns though for Berkshires and into S VT and over to SW NH and N/C MA. Mr Torchey
33 and rain tomorrow. congrats to all the rain wishers Who in God's name wants rain with all of the roof issues already around. That amount of rain will add a huge amount of weight to the snowpack on roofs.
coldsmoke
The Euro is juiced up here .75" coastal plain, 1.0" Extreme downeast, .50" back thru the foothills still not bringing much into the higher terrain of western ME??
mahk_webstah
I think people are getting confused. The thaw is in the Feb 15-17 th period..not next week..Next week we have the snowstorm tuesday and hopefully Thursday and then a bitter blast..that might rival the coldest outbreak we've seen this winter..then after that is when there MIGHT be a mini thaw..before another cooldown Preach. Gather your flock Reverend for they stray from thy path...thy path is white with huge neat mounds on both sides.
