butterfish55
At least the 47* dp is making fog so thick that I don't get to watch my snow disappear, so that's nice
Snow Bow
I'll try to get a look at my stake.....afraid to look. Max was 33"...any guesses.... I was at 31 right after the last storm now down to 27.5 so your probaby around 29 is my guess.

CoastalWx
Kudos to the NAM for hitting the elevated thunder. It had LI's that were lower than what I see 70% of the time in the summer.

This is absolute CONCRETE.....I stood on top essentially without sinking.....walked right out to the snow stake like it was bare ground. Unreal. 32.6\31 Driveway is a sheet of ice, but NOTHING else is icy....nuts.

ORH_wxman
I had about 35" before the storm, so with the ZR it probably compressed a smidge, but can't be more than an inch or so.
MattdWX
crazy stuff here at lyndon state college. spent 3 hours in front of an open window with fellow meteorology students. over 5 inches of snow, we switched to freezing rain and sleet then changed to snow within an hour and we had numerous lightning strikes ( some within 1 mile of campus) and it has been DUMPING snow every since. the plows can barely make it up the hills. I have it all on video, over 3 GB of video I need to edit. WHAT A STORM!!!!!!

Yea, you had a 4" lead on me....but I have spent some time above freezing this week and you haven't.....even just a few degrees adds up to about another inch after a few days. Hills ftw. stormwts1
Have not quite reached 32 as of yet. We did have thunder, freezing rain which was a 1st for me. Trees and roads have a nice glaze on them. Overall....water added to the snowpack!

Yea amazing while torching and a summer storm the ice layer on top is intact, after I went out after the storm I expected huge melt and runoff, there was none, glacier FTW

CoastalWx
Scooter, your folk's pack ftl....50*. I was just near there in Norwell. Very mild. Tons of ground fog near the surface and high water content so it won't be vaporized, but some damage no doubt. We're not much better in Boston. dabize
Interesting how the coastal front has disappeared from CT over the past few hours, with temps along the Sound dropping nearly 10 degrees (was 50 at 9:30 PM, is 40 now). No sig drop in dewpoints, though, either there or further W (according to the pdfamily map) Meanwhile the CF E of the CT/RI line advances NW. Has the WSW wind started advecting BL air cooled by the water in CT?
