Ginx snewx
Wonnder if the thunderstorms that are going to go over E Mass are going to cause a bunch of roof failures, if it pours its going to add a bunch of weight real quick. Water is pouring off my roof, I imagine flat roofs will fail without drainage. Check out the roof failure thread for the huge impact on ag business barns etc.

radiator
Now I'm jealous - I can see the lightning strikes blossoming all over the display, and the red radar echoes are pummeling the East end of the state and RI, but it's much too far away for me to actually see any of it... (BTW, it's 39.9 degrees here right now)
Clinch Leatherwood
I don't think it's the end, I think it's the beginning of more normal weather. What blows is we aren't going to know what's coming until it's here because aside of general ideas the models whack it. Look at this event. Major thunder moving in here. Still solid snowpack and I'm not unhappy this is clearing tibia breaking ice from shaded walkways etc. Ice melt couldn't even get it so this is fine by me. I'm hopeful on Tuesday more worried about a repeat of this debacle than a miss

DomNH
Kind of a similar icing event here to '08 in that the surface isn't icing up nearly as well as the trees/powerlines. The road is pretty icy and there is a thin film on the car, but the trees and powerlines are all glazed over.

DomNH
I'll get it....the one time Wilmington gets a t-storm is the one time that I don't want it. I'm finally in a good spot. Heavy precip missing SE and NW, so I'm left with drizzle/freezing fog and a nice little ice event.
weathafella
This line is strengthening as it moves NE. I'm getting excited.
