Ginx snewx
winds starting to pick up out of the S over Long Island. Temps spiking. Dense, snow eating fog too. Glad I have the ice layer on top which is still there, roof just starting to drip, dews finally up, will not be a long high dew period, low QPF, minimal impact inland. moneypitmike
33.8 now. Sidewalk is a sheet of ice. Cold ground FTW....or FTL if you fall. I'm not sure you fall below 32 tonight. Scott--are you sticking with your thought earlier that I'll remain freezing? Great call thus far.--not even close. 29.1/
weatherwiz
One of the most dangerous walks home I've ever had. Worked at the middle school today which is usually a 25-minute walk...took me about 50 minutes. Slipping everywhere. Got completely soaked as well. I was walking in front of my house and saw yellow caution tape which said "Caution High Voltage" scared the crap out of me...not sure why it's there but it's blocking off the entire front yard. I love too how it's 32F outside
snowwoman
Left the house at around 3:30 and it was 31.5 and trees starting to frost and glaze. We are now up to 36 degrees with moderate rain....Mt Snow was starting to mix with some rain mixed in about an hour ago (family has a condo up there) they called to see if they had to worry about ice =)

Great call thus far.--not even close. 29.1/27 Maybe you get to 31.6 or something, but I think you will. Even if you get to 33, it really will not matter at all, in GC. ski MRG
29/28, freezing drizzle, temp slipped from 29.7 to 29.1 in the last 30 minutes, Quite a beautiful look with everything ice and snow covered. No one on the road.
ORH_wxman
SREFs yesterday hit the potential for a sneaky period of icing in N ORH county/ SNH out W through GC. I thought it might be a problem for awhile and its turned out to be kind of a nasty night out there with the glazing occurring.
weathafella
33.3 here. BOS down to 34. Every hour chilly mitigates the damage...

Clinch Leatherwood
One of the low spots in the hood that we board off and flood so the kids have a place to skate is totally frozen still. It's sheltered by at least 25-30 feet on all sides...neat little fog as you drop into it. Water was freezing on contact until about six when winds picked up. Sans the winds I think it would have stayed frozen.
moneypitmike
? forecast low of 27 here. Yeah--the zfp across the area's kind of weird. They have some mid-30's, some upper 20's. Weird. My p/c says 30. Edit" now it says 29.

Mr Torchey
Impressive event last 20 minutes, temp has risen from 34 to 41 winds are east now. I assume its the coastal front, did not expect it to come through my area this soon, snow pack intact, a lot of compression ice on top is like granite, however roofs (thankfully) are melting quickly water pouring off my roof as I raked it and there was not much left. Nice cleansing tonight, snow coming Tuesday.
ski MRG
Yeah--the zfp across the area's kind of weird. They have some mid-30's, some upper 20's. Weird. My p/c says 30. This has been a complete non-event in terms of damage to the snowpack. If anything it looks more Wintery out there right now. Slipped to 28.9. powderfreak
+SN 500PM...snow begins and moves in like a wall. 600PM...2.0"...rate 2/hr 620PM...2.5"...rate 1.5/hr 2" in the first hour, then in the 20 minutes it took me to walk my dog there was another half inch. BTV picked up over .2" of liquid equiv in the first hour and 20 minutes... at 10:1 ratios they are just over 2" at 6:19pm which fits with what I'm seeing here.
