MainePhotog
GYX says "torch!" THE TRACK OF THE LOW BRINGS WARM AIR N INTO MUCH OF THE FCST AREA ...EXCEPT FOR THE N/MT ZONES OF NRN NH AND WRN ME. THE WARM AIR INTRUDES ALOFT CAUSING SN TO CHANGE TO PL OR ZR DEPENDING ON THE DEPTH OF THE CD AIR UNDER THE WRM INTRUSION ALOFT. GENERALLY USED THICKNESS AND VERTICAL TEMP SOUNDING FCSTS TO PRODUCE PRCP TYPE FCSTS. ALONG THE COAST TEMPS ALREADY ABOVE FREEZING WITH DEW POINTS ALSO RISING ALONG THE MID COAST WITH AN ONSHORE WIND. THIS WILL LIKELY PROVIDE A CHC FOR RN ALONG THE COAST ALONG WITH THE THREAT OF SOME SN OR ICE AS WELL. WILL CONT ALL HEADLINES...BUT BACK OFF ON SN ACCUMULATION S OF THE FOOTHILLS DUE TO MORE ICE THAN SN OVERNIGHT. WILL DOWNPLAY THE IMPACT ALONG THE COAST...ESPECIALLY THE MID COAST WHERE MORE RN THAN SN AND ICE EXPECTED. FOR PSM ZONE IN SE NH...MOSTLY RN SO NO HEADLINE CONTINUES THERE. Light snow just beginning here. Temp fell from 33.9°F to current 31.6°F May as well enjoy my light snow now if were going to torch later.

OKpowdah
lol...I'm over to sleet. We mixed a little in Plymouth just a few minutes ago. Back to all snow now. Any of the heavier bands should be mainly snow up here I figure, with sleet and freezing rain possible as we get toward the edge of the dryslot. Typhoon Tip
So I guess this turned out to be a southwest flow event, albeit weak for us. Although, it is snowing hard in the N country later. Swfe into a region with no polar high. haha

snowNH
ZR continuing here... roads are real messy... could get heavier on with this next band... already a glazing on the ground not good...
moneypitmike
Well, once you're off the trail, the roads pretty much suck. No sleet at all in that band other than that 15 second mix I mentioned an hours ago. Straight zr which continues. Temp at 27.8/26, so the temp is continuing to climb. Over .1" accretion, everything has the white ice look. Pines are sagging. Will we go to straight rain here? Might we go straight to snow when the temps crash (when will that be?)
