Feb 29-Mar 1, 2008...it looked like crap on radar, then I went to bed instead of tracking it...woke up and had to rush out the door for an early breakfast meeting and drove in a whiteout, lol. CF made it back to 495 or just W and enhanced the snowfall in a narrow stripe. Had 7.5" or something. I had no idea what was happening until I got back home. If we had a winter like last year we would here more statements like that.. but the epic winter helps moderate that.. I mean.. the gfs and Nam were out to sea 24 hours ago . Now they are in Albany??? And then had some decent WAA this afternoon as mid level s/w ridging advanced eastward, combined with abundant solar heating = -16F to 31F in 6 hours.
