40/70 Benchmark
Berlin, NH deserves a good snow. I wanted this event to crap out...this is why. Now the landscape is gonna look like s***.
dendrite
ETA has really warmed too. So that probably explains part of your increase in the SREFs spread. RSM is cold/snowy here and the ETA is warm. I think in 24-36hrs I went from being scraped to a net loss. lol
cpickett79
i wonder if SKIMGR showed any emotion at the homestead as the model came out LP going thru the berks FTL i wish those S'rly winds would stop smackin organizing low's windows. wxeyeNH
My ugly 6z sounding. Awfully warm for even us up here in the Lakes Region. I thought I would stay all snow (barely) but looking at this it doesn't appear I will. Will be interesting tomorrow eve watching the rain line move north, then stall and come crashing back. CoastalWx
This is my last night ever in Attleboro. If I were to reflect on the weather during my time here (12/06 til now) i would say that there were more negatives in the wx dept than positives. However there were several memorable events that i learned from. My time here could probably be known as the SWFE era, lol. In any event, it's nice to leave on a high note...with perhaps the most snow on the ground i have seen here. Well it's too bad we couldn't have this winter a year earlier, or an '04-'05, but some good times and discos on here as usual. The one event that really stands out for me, that you were a part of, was your pine tree punisher that you had. Your accounts of that, were pretty funny. 2" of the Nickelodeon slime..lol. 12/16/07 and others were obviously big, but that one stands out for some reason. dendrite
Looking at the 3hrlies closer I get about 2-3" before a mix/flip to R/ZR and then back over to snow. It's close enough still where I shouldn't totally throw in the towel yet for an isothermal 0C 6" of snow.
codfishsnowman
grotesque but this whole Saturday thing was really a fiasco from conception...there was never anything worth sinking ones teeth into being a snow lover...good thing its like a glacier but we will still loose a few inches...and i hope mon night is not wet as well...i wonder if this is where it all begins to unravel... ] remember here in the spfd area we still need AT LEAST FORTY INCHES MORE SNOW TO BE ONE OF THE SNOWIEST SEASONS EVER!!!!!! Eh, it's the NAM. I'm really not worried about it. Would prefer it snows but if it doesn't MRG should do well. Much more snow to come and the snow that's here has some fortitude. If i lived out your way, then I'd be bummed.
CoastalWx
That was the 1/14/08 event. That was a fun one...started really wet and transitioned drier as it went on. He had a coating of snow and was reporting roof collapses. I thought it was one of the smaller events, but I remember it was January and that was pretty much the only event I think during the month. Good little storm. Anyways OT.
