Thunder Road
I know that we're well into spring and they don't mean as much in spring but, the teleconnections for the NAO, AO and PNA don't look good. It's April 16th
chrisNJ
Anyone want to take some guesses as to how the weather will be on Easter Sunday? Right now, the GFS looks wet, which would really suck. Having 25 in laws over and all of them being stuck inside would just make me drink more...please weather Gods, help.

Eh, I'll take temps in the 70's this time of year. We have all of June, July and August (and maybe early September) in which we'll likely have plenty of 90+ temps. Grothar
I question why there is no discussion on this heavy rainfall event to besiege us in eastern PA and western NJ? 2-3 inches of rain over the next few days will flood many rivers and urban streams. Frankly, the Little Lehigh Creek behind my house has yet to to return to its base flow. 2-3 inches of rain will be a major flooding event for some streams and rivers. Also, there alot of days with 70 degree temps and thunderstorms in next weeks forecast. This is just begging for more flooding this upcoming week. A bad sign is that the black snakes are seeking higher ground with the rabbits in my backyard. I have seen this in the past couple of days. That is not a good sign. Blizzard92
Great weekend to go to the Catskills or Finger Lakes to see the leaves, except I'm working. Ugh, leaves are really ugly here around the Lake Cayuga area. 70% still green with large leaf droppings. It appears the area was affected by some sort of leaf fungus causing the leaves to get brown spots and quickly fall off the trees.
