BOTH THE GFS AND ECMWF PLACE A 200 KNOT JET TO OUR NORTHEAST

OVERNIGHT WITH SOUTHERN NEW ENGLAND IN THE RIGHT ENTRANCE REGION

INDICATING STRONG DYNAMIC SUPPORT FOR UPPER VENTING OF THE

AIRMASS. THE ECMWF SHOWS A STRONG LOW LEVEL CONVERGENCE/UPPER

DIVERGENCE COUPLET OVER NEW ENGLAND AT 12Z WITH A FOCUS FROM

WESTERN MASS/CT TO SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE. SO THERE WILL BE

SUFFICIENT LIFT FOR PRECIPITATION THE DEEPER

THICKNESSES CONTINUING TO SIGNAL SNOW AWAY FROM THE SOUTH COAST.

NAM is too warm for meaningful snow Monday/Tues. Drives BL temps above freezing pretty deep into the interior. We'll see.

I like the Thurs/Friday idea of something very big before a major pattern change to mild biased with cold lurking not too far north.

I agree...pattern changes are often preceded by a big storm. I'm on board even if it means we have to suffer through a "warm" week. Can only get so warm when there is 3 feet of snow on the ground. Plenty of time for this to trend nw.

We won't be seeing grass til mid-late April at the earliest this year..You FTL..No golf..no yardwork..just snow everywhere you look.

I've had 20"+ of snow cover for long enough. I came close to 30". Unless 40" is in sight I'm over it and ready to start from scratch again.

grass please!

I'm ready for this snow pack to disappear. It's becoming a monster pain in the butt. Driving is a disaster and everything is taking double the time.

You should see driving in Boston metro Friday... the Longwood Medical Area and major routes entering it (Route 9 / Brookline / Huntington / Boylston) were severely backed up, traffic cops at many intersections... Mostly because many roads such as Huntington are down 1 entire lane.

Doesn't bother me: if we have an epic record year in the making, shoot for the moon.

18Z GFS way OTS for Thursday... not a terrible place to be this far out.

Cut him some slack. Have you ever driven a Prius on snowy roads? For Jebus sake, have some compassion, man.

the prius is fine in the snow thank you very much.

i don't mind driving in the snow... but driving on narrow roads full of traffic because of unmanagable brown ice-banks in the city sucks.
