Tropopause_Fold
Well, my temp is ticking ever so slightly up. Now at 32.8/27. That's .5*. Hmmmm you'll probably fall off at the surface but there is actually some light WAA overnight. that's part of the problem with this incoming forgettable event. temps in the lowest 1/2km or so of the atmosphere actually warm overnight into the +1 to +3C category for a lot of SNE. it starts to sweep east and offshore as the storm passes through but we have a timing/changeover issue. for your area, out to MRG, over to Will etc. it's probably cold enough even without a whole lot of lift to allow for snow. for a big chunk of the rest of us, we need some good solid precip rates otherwise it'll be mixed or just rain i think until mid-morning...which is maybe too late considering this thing is rocketing NE. we'll see. i was thinking C to 2" regionwide with some 3 spots somewhere lucky...and i wouldn't really move from that, but won't be surprised if it's more "C"s than 2s. moneypitmike
Thanks. I was thinking 2-4 and then BOX came with the 3-5 this morning. Given the tenor of comments here, I'm lowering expectations, but still being mindful that I'm distanced from most of the folks making the comments. So, we shall see. CoastalWx
The other thing to watch, is the band of ra/sn over PA. That's associated with mid level frontogenesis. We should watch if that blossoms ene into GC and perhaps even ORH.

CoastalWx
I think that's the band that will gives the accumulating snows. It sort of all congeals overhead, but that may give the bonus snows to people like MPM and Pete. I'm watching the stuff down by NC.

amarshall
Just told my office to expect a snowstorm on Thursday. We have some snow wimps that take vacations days for impending storms. My life is complete making them panic.

Unless you live in Fairfield in which case they would cancel if ORH is expecting 2-4".
