Damage In Tolland
American garbage. Why anybody would pay any attention to that I have no idea. We'd be better off if they just turned the damned thing off. If Ryan was awake and saw it..he'd bump up his forecast of slushy 1-2 inches for CT
weathafella
Anyone check out the RGEM? I did. Still though, rates of snow won't be high enough imo to add it up much but we'll see.
moneypitmike
Here's hpc's take. Agree with placement, htough I'd have thought they'd have the 10% range at 40%. But, pretty consistent with the forecasts, I think. Again, doesn't make sense to quibble over an inch.

ski MRG
The elevator is on it's way down back to that safe, secure place called reality. Twenty-one days remain until we turn the corner. LOL. Enjoy your reality. We'll enjoy our snowy one.

moneypitmike
What's the o/u on number of posts today by Ray lamenting the sun burning off his snowpack? Looking at the BOX zfp's, seems that there are mid-30's highs for NH zones and western most Massachusetts ones. Upper 30's through the rest of massachusetts and CT. Near 40 in RI. Mild, but hardly a torch to lament snow loss. Sure, you can start losing at this time of year with marginal freezing given stronger sun, but I don't think it's anything rapid. weathafella
3-6 on the RGEM I'm not sure that is correct....not sure about vv's. This tells me our NNE book more than SNE people do.

moneypitmike
Pedestrian event, Then cold, Its all good A couple inches to freshen things up and for those who lost a few inches, to damper that a bit. All is good.
NSwx
I would like to see this storm end up comming far enough north to put you guys in at least 6'' +, the board is so fun to read when everyone is jacked.. This is just depressing lol

mahk_webstah
In London observing the banter from afar. I see that the vast majority of SNE has experienced a so-so winter...Hmmm, bummer, we've had a pretty good one up in the unpopopulated areas just to your north The real disastah is over here where it is cloudy, windy and 45-50. Their winter left just as our got good. I fully expect to return to our muted pause, allowing our back and leg muscles to rest before the run to 100. Someone needs to start a long range thread with that title.

ROOSTA
A lull in the action, all is well. Looked upon as a reshuffle, reload to La Epic part II. Never expected to go coast to coast with repeat after repeat snowstorm. Thats crazy thinking. Even if winter closes out now it would be a great winter. Perspectives and expectations have changed. It will return!
CT Rain
Well 3-5 looks like a reasonable call tonight/tomorrow. I'd expect WWA to go up with the 4pm package Nws drops the forecast to 1-3. Awt.
Baroclinic Zone
what a disaster this place can be Glad I went to bed. The back and forth ribbing is nauseating. My winter to date has been epic. I live in SE MA. I would say the majority of SE MA is around 150%+ of their seasonal snowfall. Yes the pattern has changed, some people just won't admit it. CoastalWx
Nws drops the forecast to 1-3. Awt. Yeah for now, I'm not sure we see widespread 3-5", except for maybe GC. Perhaps someone north of ORH pulls 4" or so. It's a weird setup, so I could see someone getting screwed and somebody perhaps overachieving. Mr Torchey
Wow another very mild morning 29/26 foot plus snowpack/clear skies and barely and radiational cooling, pattern certainly has changed, but very short lived. Love these type of events coming up tonight into tomorrow, nothing like rain turning to snow with a flash freeze. What a winter, what a winter, meantime today will once again feel awesome. moneypitmike
NECN is calling for up to 4" in NW Mass, 2" east of there and into CT. When I'm on this forum, I tell my five year-old daughter I'm speaking with my "weather friends". She looked over my shoulder as I was watching NECN"s webcast and asked if Danielle Niles was my weather friend. If only. lol
