40/70 Benchmark
You can see how the GFS op is showing the delicate balance of these weak cold snaps moving in...just in time for low pressure to cross near and just south of sne. Just a very minor change in the heights near the NAO and EPO region will have a huge impact in sensible wx for sne. This month isn't going to be anything great....classic Feb lull in the midst of a great year.

He isnt satisfied in less he gets 20+ of snow or some ice. Now that his ice fetish is satisfied he's ready for spring.

Unfortunately most women don't spend blizzards sitting on leather chairs in only socks, chatting on the hammy.

I wish I was on this forum during the event...I honestly had no clue how bad it was. My neighborhood was iced up but not much damage, no power loss etc. So when school was canecelled and I went around town the next day to higher elevations I was shocked how bad things were. 40/70 Benchmark
Sure, we have the technicality of January's epicness overshooting the end of the month a little bit, but aside from that, I can see this month blowing.....like March 2009.....that month BLEW, but it doesn't look that bad in the records because of that one event as the calendar flipped. CoastalWx
And we could easily go the rest of the month without much more. And March could blow as well..we just don't know. However, I don't think this month will be bad. Could be active with a lot of smaller events..maybe a lot of snow to mix type deals. I think once again, we may be dealing with latitude events. MaineJayhawk
Snow is taking more of a beating today, than last night. Not much of a beating here. 35.2F and cloudy. I was hoping for some sun and warmish temps to help with the ice dams, not to mention softening the junk that fell last night. I'll be tackling that after lunch/Euro. Eh.....the one real theat of a very solid event is Thrusday and that could use some life....we'll see.....certainly not complaining because I'll gaurantee that I'm making 100".....Feb just may not be of much assistance. If we get no snow the rest of the month, BOS will end up just shy of average with the 10" they got Feb 1/2. So it would be similar to March '09 in that respect. Logan11
I see the GFS has .3" here tomorrow night and that is despite the fact that most of that escapes O.T.S. So it may be a nice little moderate event. I know.
