RIP ,THE BIG THURSDAY/FRIDAY THREAT THAT WAS SO GLARING A FEW DAYS AGO.....LIKE I SAID BEFORE...THE BEGINNING OF THE END..THE PATTERN IS BUSTED!!!!!!!!!!!

AND NO ONE SEES A REVERSAL ON THE LATE WEEK EVENT AT THIS POINT..NOW THERE IS SOME CONFIDENCE!!!!

You and BIrving should get together for drinks. Nothing but cold and snow in my forecast. A brief relaxation from the onslaught of Winter storms that is common in big Winters is the only thing that is going on here. You won't be seeing Daffodils anytime soon.

Pete no worries, it happens in Winter, we get rain , it gets cold and snows, the party cranks up again this week. That Thaw is muting every day.

Quite an ice storm last night. Have a houseful of guests so very happy power stayed on. Could see transformers blowing in the distance around 11pm.

At the height probably .3 - .4 ice accretion.

Maybe a few inches settling but minimal snow loss here. Full glacial mode now though.

For once I'm glad it's above freezing.

Should be a southerner

As you predicted, at the first sign of a brief relaxation of the storminess all the Warministas would rush in and proclaim Winter dead, I average over 40" from now until April and I expect I'll do better than that this year. I think people that are longing for Spring have a long road ahead of them. This Winter will linger and Spring will be delayed and once it gets here it will be cold and nasty. Gonna be a long time until BIrving gets to prance around in his european Speedo.

That's why I'm procrastinating. What sucks is that it needs to be done to a large degree with a regular shovel. Not sure how well this picture captures it, but immediately outside this window sits a generator.

its all Fluff underneath, eh yep thats my way of psyching myself up, ooh crap, roof snow, LOL

Amazing how many people who proclaim to be winter lovers are crying Uncle, well that was predicted too.

We had no January thaw, yesterday was snow to ice here, maybe we get a degree or two above freezing today then snow moves in tomorrow/tomorrow night. Nothing but cold in the 7 day here and yet there are some horribly misguided souls thinking it's Spring. Funny really.

Yea they are ready to play frisbee in banana hammocks, sip wine under the stars on the Charles with their lovers, spread out the picnic blanket and eat peanut butter sandwiches. Flights are pretty cheap to Florida hopefully they take advantage.

These totally mamby pamby reasons crack me up. It's too hard to walk in all the snow, I'm tired of shovelling, the car gets dirty, the snowbanks make the streets narrow. Waaa effin' Waaaa!! Move to a nice retirement community in Florida if you don't like it. My god, what a bunch of whiners. It's un-American.
