bluewave
I wanted to see which calendar days from 1960 to 2010 NYC recorded over 20 inches of snow. I did my best to add up snowfall on each date in February from 1960 to 2010. Here's the list with the day of the month followed by snowfall in inches: 2-12....48.0 2-6......33.5 2-11....33.1 2-7......31.3 2-19....27.5 2-4......25.2 2-16....23.6 2-25....22.5 2-10....21.5 2-3 and 2-9 were close with 19.4 inches of snow each. A-L-E-X
BW, if you include JFK I bet you could come up with a few more--- Feb 1961 (24.1 inches) Feb 1969 (24 inches) Feb 1983 (22 inches) Feb 2003 (26 inches) .... all are storm totals, so Im not sure if any of them are over a 24 period or longer. Yeah, the peak snow days are in a similar cluster to NYC with varying amounts for the difference in location.

Look in the NYC snowfall thread there's some info there. I know the 1 inch or more record is 58 days.
