Some sleet compacted and cut into the totals midstorm, so even though we started with a 6" snowpack and the 36-hour total was 0.87" precip and 10.1" snow, the current snow depth is 13" (not 16"). 2am-7am Feb 1st: Precip 0.08", Snow 1.3" Depth 7" 11-hr break 6pm-mid Feb 1st: Precip 0.43", Snow 5.2", Depth 12" mid-7am Feb 2nd: Precip 0.29", Snow 2.1", Depth 12" (it was a sleet/snow mix causing compaction) 7am-4pm Feb 2nd: Precip 0.07", Snow 1.5", Depth 13" .....cont Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

A lot of it has to do with lots of small previous snowfalls as well, but still...give the snow the appearance of being deeper than the solid foot it is (about 11-13" depth aside from drifts, the water equiv is about a 1.4"). Cant even see on many corners when trying to turn lol. The thought of an active pattern ahead has me salivating. Didnt even mind the sun this morning (im not a fan of sun in winter lol).
