klw
Is this storm worth staying at school for? Gun to head. Im on the downeaster tmrw if it isnt. Damage In Tolland
Snow to heavy rain even for you. Lets hope it's one of those burp runs and moves east, but it phases early. oh you had me worried lol..Just like it had Saturday's storm tracking west of us..and we know how that turned out.. Seems to have these too far west issues days 5-6 for a run or 2 and then figures out it should be offshore Ens will be colder
CoastalWx
That would be ugly for a lot..lol. Sure glad to see it like that now and not 3 days out.

Clinch Leatherwood
Soundings were relatively cold above 850 mb. If we can get the s/w to go just south, it may be a nice 3-4 hr thump for areas near BOS. I like those small, but potent VM's those can be quite energetic. My issue is more in the lower levels. Unlike other systems recently this is colder above about 850...dynamics may actually come into play. But won't matter for me...nice free car wash. Winter is slowly slipping nw each storm
dryslot
Jeff, any mixing issues here on the mid coast? TIA! John, Might see some sleet, But mostly snow, Shows a Huge bomb next weekend up here, In the 960's FWIW
moneypitmike
i think ice and sleet do help, as does water content. one thing for sure, deep snow can disappear so quickly, its mindblowing it can all be gone with ease even before previous seasons. so i think its too early to be thinking snow will be on the ground later this year than in past years. have to wait till early march really to assess that. One thing I'm 99% certain of is it'll be one helluva mud season. I'm glad I'm not at the bottom of the hill.

Damage In Tolland
Oh yeah..lol. Euro has been loving to phase things a little too soon. Hopefully this is the case. It did the same thing the last couple storms and the one coming Saturday and tried to run something west of us. Then under 5 days it corrects east. Wonder why it keeps doing that

psuhoffman
This storm is driving me nuts, I am planning to drive up to New England this weekend to do some skiing and I cant get a good handle on what ski reosort area is likely to get the best snows... any local opinions of what my best bet would be? I have been considering between Stratton/Mt Snow area, Jimminy Peak, or perhaps a smaller resort further east if there are any good ones that might get dumped. Any thoughts? I have been aching to try out my new powder skiis and keep missing fresh snow.
SouthCoastMA
Winter is slowly slipping nw each storm I was going to post about this earlier. I think the days of canal cutters and Nantucket sound tracks may be coming to an end. It's going to be a wet finish to the winter for a lot in my opinion. Unless the block finds a way to reestablish itself, SNE's luck is going to run out.

wxsniss
Makes more sense synoptically to have this a bit east of where the euro has it. Will be shocked if that doesn't happen tonight Based on what?
