Moneyman
Chicago is due. Agreed. Another 20 inch storm please. To win a World Series, yes. They gotta win the division first.
afterimage
I'll take it, Eastern Indiana, heck Indiana will take it :-) Although, if it has the chance of being sleet or ice, ugh, I dunno, at the moment I am considering dynamite to free up the drive and deck, it is truly unreal. dilly84
Meh, they've gotten screwed big time this winter. NYC/PHI has gotten crushed, while they haven't had a big storm all year tbh. But for the OH posters to say "they deserve the last laugh" "they deserve this storm" etc, it's just plain stupid. A storm is going to do whatever the hell it wants. If it's going to cut to Minnesota, it's going to cut to Minnesota. To keep saying they deserve this storm, storm after storm, it's stupid And the OV has? West of us have, south of us have, east of us have, north of us have.. LOL.. But I agree with the deserving thing. You cant control the weather. Its gonna do what it is gonna do. I dont think deserving is the correct word. But who's been screwed over more? Both. Last winter DC and the OV got hit with back to back to back storms. This year, we have been paying for it. lol

Hoosier
12z GFS ensembles have the late week storm but are generally more of a coastal. Maybe where we want it at this point though.
Stebo
EC snowstorm WOOF WOOF!!! Oh man I was wrong no east coast snowstorm EC SNOWSTORM HAPPENS.
OHSnow
GFS shows a Buckeye special at 168 hours -- takes it up the coast, but that doesn't really make sense given the weather map at 168 hours. Looks like it would be a nice snow for Ohio and western, central Pennsylvania.
Madmaxweather
hmmm...a little lov'n for ohio via the 18z nam and rgem. 2-4 ish NAM has been pretty darn consistent in regards to this weekend. GFS/EURO haven't jumped on board yet...
Stebo
That would be awful if the same areas that got hit got another huge storm. Kenosha/Racine have like 33 inches of snow on the ground already. Would be huge problems in the spring if they got another storm. Send this one either up north (getting LaCrosse, MSP etc in the action) or send this one to the OV and get OH/PA/KY a huge storm. I only have 12" here, I'll gladly take the next storm for the good of the region

To keep saying they deserve this storm, storm after storm, it's stupid you could eliminate roughly 40% of your posting efforts by simply putting some version of "OHIO(ANS) SUCK" in your sig in big letters. just a friendly suggestion. Yes, as mentioned elsewhere, I think this has a great potential to trend Northwest. As a matter of fact I'd be worried here that it might go too far to my NW. ukrocks
I think DC area deserves it more then OH/KY does, but that's for another thread. I agree with Alek in terms of the baroclinic zone setting up somewhere in the area. Who knows, but at this point it looks like a major storm will happen somewhere in the country. Probably not to the extent of the last storm, but still could produce 8-12 inches+ if everything comes together right. Are you kidding me? Looks at the winter they had last year. In my area, it has been 6 years since we have seen a 6 inch snowfall. We usually get one every 4 years. Come on man.

As a matter of fact I'd be worried here that it might go too far to my NW. If there's not a wave separation/phasing issue, I'd say it has an excellent shot. This pattern now seems like the past couple Ninas where almost every southwest ejecting system in the medium/long range found a way to trend northwest. buckeye
I don't think the GFS is hopping on board yet... gfs is east and stronger with the front energy....that's kind of a bias, but if it's still doing it tonite, might be something to consider. Moneyman
18z GFS has a sub 1004-1008 low in Indiana at hr 84 fyi. At least .25 qpf in the Chicago area all snow.
buckeye
i like your amounts...but i think shift it east. If there's a correction i could see the heavier axis getting into w. or even central PA and even WV.. I would say accum snows from i-71 south and east to about central WV up to say state college. Prbly very clipperish in effect.
