Wonderdog
It doesn't sound like the gfs solution. Maybe a middle ground between 0z EURO and 12z GFS.

yoda
The Mon/Tues storm is bombs away as it heads into NS (recaches something like 960 mb).. so I think it becomes our "block" aka 50/50 which helps us here ALOT
usedtobe
So we go from "GFS expolodes Euro Implodes" to "Euro explodes GFS Implodes". Actually sounds like everything is happening just like Wes was hoping for. That guarantees nothing but is certainly what I wanted to see. The 500 at 144hr is a textbook heavy snow look for dc. Hopefully the amped souterhn stream is not the euro overdeepening problem we've seen a couple times this year.

Quasievil
quote name='yoda' timestamp='1296844896' post='433382'] 850s are very nice the entire time.. around -5 Look how sweet that block is. We really need the Mon/Tues storm to get amped up and 50/50 itself. Sheer model porno from the Euro.
stormtracker
Looks good. Glad the Euro backed away from the west/wrapped up look. GFS is just where we want it. GGEM all alone. If things look this way at 0z tonight, I'll issue a face book alert and first first guess at an estimation.
