Epic winter signal continues to beam, part VII

This storm had too strong a primary out west. Many alluded to this during the discussion coming up to the event. Had this not happened we all would have done much better in the snow dept.

On to the next one. Quick glance at the overnight models agree with my thoughts. I think that is mostly an interior threat for snow N & W of I-90 up in NH/VT/ME. Climo. is rearing it's ugly head. No block will not keep the coastal plain cold to sustain any cold. Best chances to stay all snow would be to have a fast moving quick hitter and not a wrapped up storm.

Anyone know what the record snow cover is for BDL, ORH, BOS and CON? May have a shot at breaking those records if this weekend's event is mostly snow (I'm thinking it's mostly snow north and west of BDL/ORH, but changing to ZR at BDL/ORH after a few hours of snow, and probably mainly rain for BOS).

BDL is 38"

Get hungry.

Ha! This certainly beats last winter. Coming into it I thought the general chatter was for not much of a winter south of 40. That may be the case from here on out...I feel things may be shifting n nw where you now have my winter, I've got phils etc. Hoping not.

Mental notes as we go forward for all of us, this makes 100% of the storms where Ptype was an issue that it was warmer faster and the ruc was probably the only model to gauge it correctly or close anyway. For the south Plymouth area the warning curse continues, at 4" I'm pretty sure we didn't verify again and with the temp profiles as such whatever drives that automated snow graphic overshot by 50% here yet again. I joked a day ago about being able to take 50% of the max here and it was 9"...we ended up with 4 to 4.5....not sure what product it's based off of but in ptype issues it's been double high for us all winter.

Good luck to the Cne and Nne crew they waited all year for this.

Oh and to the supers that called school at 7 last night for 2" of snow and a changeover....will they learn?

so event total of like 9 or 10?

Yeah. Not bad for me. Happy with the way it worked out..maybe a little too bullish for this second round. If the DS didn't race in so quick, I may have been able to pull a couple of inches more. As soon as the good lift left, the pingers started. Happens all the time.

This outcome fit my own thoughts pretty good as well. Obviously not as detailed as many of you but for my back yard, I thought the storm played out perfectly in the snow amounts.

I'm feeling a little better about Sat night, than I was......but it'ss till real iffy.

At least I look to have a fighting chance because it didn't look like I did on previous runs of the EURO.

Storm is just about over, here.
