40/70 Benchmark
wow...SLP is going to go right along the south coast and up into the canal. temps this hour skyrocketed along BID/cape/islands. it's 49F at MVY (S G 36 mph) and 37F at EWB (N @ 6mph) edit: those two locations are about 25 miles apart but it's only like 15 miles from the south coast of MA to the island. Wow.....High of 21.7, here. Currently 19.7\17 8.5" from RD I 4.5" from RD II 13" event total 33" avg snow depth......sleet never compacted it, but only served to provided a bullet proof armor and only stacked up anohter .5" on the total depth. Any chance of an inch or two, tonight....

weathafella
Nice hit for SNE on the 18z GFS. Shifted SE. Trend is good. MSLP doesn't change much but midlevels get better as we get closer. Hopefully it trends a bit more and doesn't come charging back...lol..
40/70 Benchmark
Nice hit for SNE on the 18z GFS. Shifted SE. This system and the VD 2007 will go down in my memory as very similar events and the only two which were prolific sleeters imby......this event was a little colder in the low levels....I made it to about 27 in that event.....both featured the cf right near rt 128, but VD was a hair inland from this one. Normal sleep, not such disruption with work/school etc. Maybe then we can get on that weekend cycle.

CoastalWx
How much snow did you lose 2-3" maybe. It really isn't noticeable, but I have a trashcan in my neighbors yard that I look at. It was buried to the top this morning, now the top 2" or so is visible. It was only 34.5 for the high so it just compacted it and hardened it.
