do you think there is much wigge room west with the LP or Up with ML's temps on this one.

if i could pick and choose i'd probably pick wa wa for this one.

Yeah I'd be concerned about another bump west...but this is a very progressive system and the trough is shearing out as it heads east rather than amplifying. So it can't come a whole lot further west...but it would only take a little bump to give a lot more rain issues for us.

Even I have a solid 18" on the ground here. This year has been epic for continuous snowpack. Not very common to go this long. I think it's been continuous since before Christmas here.

I dont remember having a solid deep snow pack this early in the year. It would be something if we held onto or even added to it right through to St Pattys day.

Just for fun after snowblowing, I took a few snow depth measurements around the yard. I made sure I was in areas away from where my snowblower sends it, and in a sunny, open area (I have a lot of that).

Measured an avg of 29".... nice for early Feb with more on tap.

Bob, I cannot believe your totals compared to average for the season. Unreal

my driveway is a skating rink...i could start charging people...for those of you with a wood stove or fireplace...if you have an ash bucket, fill that sucker up and spread the ashes on any surface that is ice covered...free, instant, anti-slip solution!

My dog can de-ice a few spots for you if you wish... he is older and does not want to climb the snowbanks to do his thing... walkway FTL

would elevation help in a event where this burps west....or are ML's the bigger issue .....and latitude may be the key?

Shooting for a 2004/05 season where there was like ~120" down this way.

Well MLs would become an issue but elevation will help even with a status quo track...especially early on in this event where BL temps will be near 32F. NAM has ORH at like 31F for the first half of the event, so elevation will def help with ratios...might be like a 7 ot 8 to 1 down lower and 10 to 1 higher.

That was one of the best winters. I just moved into my house on 1/1 and it was real warm and I kept telling my wife I was unhappy we moved further south and it never snow's in carver. Then a week later all was well!!!

Will, i don't know if you heard scott comment on the shot of some possible light snow accums tonite....but do you think more freezing drizzle or sn- rolls thru here over the next 12 hours.

nexrad radar looks pretty tame but there are spots of weenie precip...was wondering if there is any reason to think this would increase in coverage.
