Ok...I went back to include the data going back to 1905 instead of 1950 for top 10 snowiest winters of all time.

With the 8.4'' total for this event that puts BDL's total up to 79.6'' on the season, that makes this the 7th snowiest winter on record for the HFD area and only .4'' shy of being number 6...and only 0.7'' from being the 5th snowiest winter on record.

While I was chiselling out before..my neighbor a few houses up stopped over.He is in his late 70's/early 80's. He said he has measured 82.3 inches this winter. I've got us at 80.8 He's lived in this neighbohood since 1970. Said he has never , ever seen anything like this

He also brought up Staffordville..and said that he thinks the guy up there loves big totals..and always seems high. He has no idea about this weather board ..so for him to say that was pretty funny

how far is it from you, next storm go measure, matter of fact meaure the depth, he is always way high

I'm trying to pile it on them..not over them..but towards the end of the driveway it's damn near impossible now..My arms are fine..it's my back that bothers me

I've noticed that areas that used snow blowers have neater and more evenly distributed and probably bigger piles. Food for thought......

Are you kiddin me, I have 70 plus inches in 5 weeks, lots of homeruns there.

Yeah actually todays round 2 was the first that under performed for the most part though some of us saw the writing on the wall yesterday. Round 1 over performed and the coastal bomb last week...can't say how that didn't do well...12"+ over a huge region with lollis to 20"

I'd hold off until about Sunday based on recent results.

Yes these last 3-4 events swinging for the fences just isn't working out.

Scott...with all due respect...let's take the biggest climo site:

10.2 from 2/1-2, 18.2 inches Boxing Day, 14.9 inches 1/12, 7.3 inches 1/21, 9.9 inches 1/26-7....I mean if that isn't prolific what is? Throw in a few nickles and dimes and BOS is at 70 with more than half the climo snow totals to go.

4.0" of snow and sleet for round two, which compacted into 3.25" under the weight of the sleet. 10.5" for the two events together. I'm thinking 1 to 2" here tonight with the leftovers coming through. Snow depth is probably 25 to 30", but I need to go out and take some more formal measurements. Weekend event looking pretty good for at least some snow in these parts.
