Tropopause_Fold
Well it favors WNE and up through srn V and srn NH I think, but with the flow still bring in a little Atlantic inflow it could favor areas near the coast too, later on. I don't quite remember that event. I wouldn't be shocked if had just flurries or over 2". It's one of those things. looks like maybe some ocean enhancement or pseudo oes type thing tomorrow too. It was after a torching cutter..and the temp crashed in the afternoon and it snowed lightly in the evning and dropped like 1.5 here or something. It was one of those that fizzled east of ORH. Something to watch tonight anyway

weatherwiz
what's the name of the street? Westfield...it's a side street. For the past few events plows have just been pushing all to the curb side so it was hanging into the street, but this plow guy for some reason decided to come down the side and push everything so it completely blocked the driveway. dryslot
While I was chiselling out before..my neighbor a few houses up stopped over.He is in his late 70's/early 80's. He said he has measured 82.3 inches this winter. I've got us at 80.8 He's lived in this neighbohood since 1970. Said he has never , ever seen anything like this He also brought up Staffordville..and said that he thinks the guy up there loves big totals..and always seems high. He has no idea about this weather board ..so for him to say that was pretty funny Just goes to prove that people have been slant sticking for over 60 years..... Clinch Leatherwood
Well folks should I issue an AWT now or later? I'd hold off until about Sunday based on recent results. AWT 12-24" with 30" lollies failed, why not go for the gusto! Yes these last 3-4 events swinging for the fences just isn't working out. Pretty much. A flat 10:1 for the modeled QPF would've been OK up here. We kept getting into the 1.00-1.25" QPF on progs. 8-14" would've worked decently for a 2 day total. The warning signs were there on a lot of the modeling too...they just weren't given enough weight. I fell a bit into the trap too, but still had my reservations. It's one of those deals when I'm sitting solidly in the rain zone to bring up others not getting as much snow as they think gets frowned upon. Matt Noyes FTL and did anyone get near the 20-25" storm totals WHDH had? A quick google search gives this... ...and this... ...and even this. Ouch. amazing

weathafella
It's too early, but there could very well be mixing. Verbatim, the euro seemed like all snow just n and w of BOS...even near you. How about that thump in the 2nd half of the vent per the Euro. Euro verbatim gives BOS mix to thumping snow. And frankly my by might even stay snow. Amazing winter. Warm signal getting more muted each ensemble run at least for our latitude. Plenty of deep cold to tap. BOS now 70 inches........2/2...wow! Models were a little overdone but not bad. 1.04" at CON1.29" at BOS 1.64" at ORH That seems fairly juicy to me considering they're gauge readings too.
