Yes and mostly ignored.

Pretty much. A flat 10:1 for the modeled QPF would've been OK up here. We kept getting into the 1.00-1.25" QPF on progs. 8-14" would've worked decently for a 2 day total. The warning signs were there on a lot of the modeling too...they just weren't given enough weight. I fell a bit into the trap too, but still had my reservations.

i don't know why anyone thought amounts much over a foot had a chance

the nam way overdid qpf, as usual

Well there are areas that have over a foot, but like Will brought up and many agreed....the pieces of the prolific snow puzzle were not all there. I may have been slightly too bullish with my thoughts for Logan a day or two ago, but the 3-5" additional that I guessed for yesterday wasn't that bad. I had 3" with about 0.2" sleet on top of that. When they dryslot was pegged to clear by late morning/early aftn on the models yesterday, you knew that was coming.

yeah, but not the widespread 18+ that was on the clown maps everybody posted

these events are always faster than thought... i didn't even break an inch of liquid here and almost every model had me over that

A lot of PL/FZRA for you today....AWT.

Yup absolutely. Even though you didn't call for it or say anyhing about...Ekster, Sam, Ryan, Will, Scott Sboswx..kudos to all of them

I have some nice ice pics I snapped including a white pine branch sagging over my electrical wires..Never got above 31 here...and now down to 29..There is ice all over everything..about .20 or so.. We've locked in 38-40 inches of snow in ice..and now we add 6-12 on topof that on Saturday

The stronger the storm the bigger the dryslot or something? OMSU or someone pointed out the dryslot showing up on IR yesterday afternoon.

So did Saturdays storm. Remember when folks were hanging themselves with underwear on their mom's clothesline..when the Euro was originally cutting it west of us?
