Its laziness, It could of been done, We have done 4 story bldg here in the past, Get a crane and get a snowblower up there.

Part of the problem is most roofing contractors (or other people doing roof snow removal) are flat out. A lot of contractors are only responding to emergencies where leaking problems or structural roof problems are eminent. There just isn't enough manpower to deal with all these roofs.

Where's mr. weathereye... he was very adamant about how it wouldn't rain on the east coast of mass.... been raining there for hours.

He isn't a big fan of the models!!! I thought the models did a good job certainly in my area with all the rain they were forecasting 5 days in advance. Northern areas didn't get what they were expecting, but dating back a week the models handled this storm better than any this winter.

No...there is CAA ongoing from the nne and it's working it's way seaward.

Indeed looks to be retreating from NNE to SSW - max of around 35.5 imby axesmiley.png I'd think that BOX's 2pm re-freeze will be just about right on and will turn everything into a giant skating rink, can't wait! puddles everywhere.

Several locations SW and N/NW of BOS, as well as over northern CT, have around or slightly over 30" on the ground as of 7AM this morning.

These totals are slightly under the amount that was on the ground in Feb 1969 and Feb 1978 for most areas SW and N/NW of BOS.

YEP

Had a bout with plain rain, heavy at that, was outside making drainage holes off the driveway. Finished that when all of a sudden the rain stopped and my coat and body started steaming we flash froze for a ten minute period then climbed above again, coolest thing ever. The roads are a disaster, went for a ride, lakes everywhere and solid ice on all back roads along with ruts. Higher up at 625 the icing is much worse.

wow...SLP is going to go right along the south coast and up into the canal.

temps this hour skyrocketed along BID/cape/islands. it's 49F at MVY (S G 36 mph) and 37F at EWB (N @ 6mph)

edit: those two locations are about 25 miles apart but it's only like 15 miles from the south coast of MA to the island.

Latest special ob has 50F at MVY. Sultry.

Latest special ob has 50F at MVY. Sultry.

Looks like the whole cape may torch above 50 with the LP going right over the neck of the cape. Wunderground showing mid-upper 40s from about falmouth - sandwich and east. with winds out of the south and southwest. Opposite side of the cape has north and northeast winds with temps in the mid 30s. Heavy temp gradient.

Just decided to make the trek into the office, which is about 6 miles up Rte.125 from my house in Wilmington to North Andover, and it ice is just falling from the sky. Nothing but ice. One of my employees just called and said she can't go a mile without stopping her car three times to clear the ice from the windshield. The only way I made it here is by having the windshield wipers constantly going at full speed, while intermittently hitting the wiper fluid to keep the ice from building up. Just horrible conditions, much worse than driving in any snowstorm we've had this year, in my opinion. Going to try and get a few things done and head back home, but it's a mess out there.
