Tropopause_Fold
Yes....probably alot of sleet, but H85 and the through the surface are below freezing verbatim. yeah i suppose you might be close being far n and w. it gets really warm aloft on that particular run. h7 even goes above freezing for a good chunk of the area during the height of it so i don't know. obviously it'll continue to evolve so we'll see how things shake out over the next few days. something crossing the cape this go around probably isn't going to act the same way some of the previous canal or chh tracks have. moneypitmike
Heavy heavies here. Gonna turn off soon, though. Nice Shot. Nothing happening now other than clouds. Driveway's been cleared. Have yet to shovel the walk to the wood pile and to/around the generator.
dendrite
if not plain rain for about 75% of the population of SNE on that run. but whatever. maybe it trends it colder i don't know. It plows the H5 vort right through SNE. Good for me, but not great for you guys. Maybe it will trend SE.
weatherMA
4.5'' new...11'' total. Good storm. I ended up getting the same as you. The sleet accumulated to 1.1" after 3.4" of snow. And I also got 6.5 yesterday.

radiator
Power outages in CT are already of concern. CL&P shows about 4,000 (mostly clustered along a line that looks like a sleet/ZR line, from lower Fairfield County up through the towns Southeast of Hartford). UI shows almost 7,000 outages, with clusters in Bridgeport, East Haven, Branford, Stratford andTrumbull.
MaineJayhawk
Nice Shot. Nothing happening now other than clouds. Driveway's been cleared. Have yet to shovel the walk to the wood pile and to/around the generator. I shoveled ~5" before that heavy stuff came in. Will have to do another lap of around 3 or 4" this pm. Yeah--that is one ugly looking system for 90% of the SNE crowd (per the 12z gfs).

Maybe it will trend SE. yeah and unless the upper air pattern is being poorly modeled right now, i'm not sure what prevents it from even being a bit further west than it is right now. certainly have seen big changes inside of 4 days the last several weeks (all winter?) so nothing is set in stone. obviously i don't want SLP cutting over my head and i'll be hoping for something colder...but i don't like the looks of this one right now. hopefully the euro comes in with something over the BM

tmwes
Middletown, CT police dept collapses. It was a 3 story building. That is not the police department. IIRC, there is a gym on the 3rd floor which explains why it was more susceptible to collapse under heavy loads.
