Damage In Tolland
Yea, that's too high Kev'. One thing we have not had this season yet is a system depending on dynamically driven snows. We've been lucky in the sense that cold has been in abundance, but this deal on the weekend has a kind of 33F blue snow vibe to it, with isothermal soundings. Anyway, if that becomes case than you're talking 8:1 type snow, and 12" of that is just not coming out of the sky with this one. For now that is... heh Ok We'll start 5-10 for all of interior SNE and can adjust accordingly. GFS is an interior special

Typhoon Tip
Nice, slighly better presentation of the mid week event on this 12z GFS run than prior cycles. This winter seems hell bent on getting Kevin to cry uncle if that is mathematically possible.

40/70 Benchmark
The storm isn't over yet.. those totals go thru tomorrow morning. And he had the timing of sleet here perfectly, same for Boston I believe (on last nights 9pm forecast at least) I'm not getting 5" more.

This winter seems hell bent on getting Kevin to cry uncle if that is mathematically possible. "Uncle" as in admitting he bust high, or as in being satiated by massive amounts of snow? The former is unlikely, but the latter just won't happen until his driveway piles start glaciating and take him away for good.....
Tropopause_Fold
just reporting the facts...there's a good amount of sleet verbatim. if not plain rain for about 75% of the population of SNE on that run. but whatever. maybe it trends it colder i don't know. hooralph
That is mighty fine company It's pretty much the Pantheon, or HOF of SNE winters. Right now it feels like we're Albert Pujols or Lebron James. Just hitting peak time: not much to stop us from climbing to the top.
OSUmetstud
still holding the ice here...maybe even accumulating still on elevated surfaces even though the temperature down the street is reading 32.7F. I'm guessing the trees won't melt completely by the time the temp falls again.
