dendrite
2.3" in the last hour. As I was out measuring it has started puking snowballs...no lie. 1-2" aggregates falling and when they landed on me they made quite a thud. You can see the refrozen nature to them...so the sleet line is very close.

dabize
This. Weird thing is, I had 14" total since Tues AM, and I suspect I'd have less than that if I measured now. Yet there must have been a full inch of sleet falling while I was out there - it piled up incredibly fast after the first pass with the shovel. 14+1= 13, compaction FTL

weatherwiz
When my brother wakes up I'm going to ask him for his camera...CAN'T wait to take pics...there is an incredible amount of snow in my garage and my yard...OMG...my yard also has great protection with all the trees so it doesn't get much sun which has definitely helped to keep a bit more snowpack. I might even shoot a video.

HIPPYVALLEY
How are totals looking for N Mass, S VT/S NH? Underperformer? We'll certainly come in w/i the range of the 2 day totals predicted. MPM i think said he had over 14" & I'm at a conservative 13" having taking measurements about 6 times since yesterday morning. (have not measured the sleet of the past hour - fairly insignificant)

weatherwiz
GFS would imply we in N. CT would stay snow...through 84 HR at least...but could be very close to mixing with sleet.

CapturedNature
Staffordville is that low in elevation huh..I thought they were higher..The higher elevations in Tolland Cty have more than that That has to be wrong. The center of Stafford Springs down by the river, but I think he's at around 750'. I'm at 650' and a couple hundred feet higher than the center of town. I have (had) 37" as of 0800 this morning. Part of my sugar bushes in here in Stafford and Union have more than that, but they don't get much sun.
